To provide greater stability, the pieces are weighted with lead, making them more difficult to tip over when moved. An extra queen is also included for even the toughest challenges. The pieces are presented in a luxurious box with a magnetic closure, adding a touch of distinction to every game.
These are the official chess pieces from the award-winning series The Queen's Gambit, used by series protagonist Beth Harmon in the 1968 Tournament of Champions final in Moscow, where she faced off against Russian chess champion Vasily Borgov.
